The plastic trees on the preserve tended to go unruffled most of the time, gently swaying now and again as the little wooden teal deer frolicked by. Every now and then, an alot of bouncy balls might stampede through, rattling the plastic leaves, but as a general rule, it was a peaceful place. A quiet place. An oasis in the shadow of the towering Toybox.
A purple cloud of smoke burst into being between the trees and Regina tumbled out, hissing at her own magic spell to keep it down! She'd finally gotten the distraction she needed to teleport out of her cell in the plastic prison, though she ached at having to leave so many people behind. A whole bunch of new toys had been brought in, including a couple she'd hoped to call friends, and that poor sporty girl in the red jumpsuit just wanted to give a comforting hug. . . .
Well. Regina couldn't help anyone if she was still locked up in that awful place. And Kitty, at least, seemed like the sort who was perfectly capable of helping herself. Regina would lay low, make her way back into town, and find some of the others who'd thrown off the Toymaker's thrall.
And then they'd end this damn curse. Once and for all.
She looked around for something to use as a disguise and saw . . . plastic leaves. Great. She was totally going to have to pretend to be a tree, wasn't she.
